Train Cases- created in the mid-1900s as a type of trunk to store makeup and toiletries during train travels....

You make one, and then you think, what about, with a hook, with waterproof canvas, with a grommet? I found some fun ones to try on YouTube, first up was the bag to hold your t.p. while camping! It worked, but why not use it for storing my cording?

Well, that was fun, you can find it at Christine's Home Affairs here.

I tried a smaller version, with some piecing from Sewingtimes; this time using waterproof canvas for the body.

And then just two more, a little oval one from DIY Sewing Mimi and finally this one from Jessica Arndt called the Retro Train Case. The add-ons I included were:

  • zippered clear vinyl pocket on the lid

  • clear vinyl covering for the bottom lining

  • two zipper pulls

Try one of many videos, I think you'll be pleased, I am!
