I love to go on Youtube and learn new things about sewing, quilting, making. My lastest interest is in making pillows with zippers, and piping, or trim. This site. In one video she talkes about her favorite tools, and one of them was a maker apron- a short, flat apron with pockets. I decided I needed one. It needed to have:
-body so that it wouldn't be a rumpled mess around my waist
-needed a buckle closure so I could take it off, and put it on easily
-rivets at stress points and reinforced pockets

-a loop for tools, including scissors
-a "D" ring, and lobster claw clasp for other things to attach, oh and
-a snap on one of the pockets so clips wouldn't come spilling out when I took the apron off
It also had to be comfortable and also work with me sitting at a sewing machine. I used upcycled canvas and waterproof canvas. You can find these in my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MacCollieDesigns
This is what I came up with:
